How many nights can I book in the Ecolodge?
Full facility bookings have a 2 night minimum and some groups book up to 2 weeks to allow time for a better immersion and understanding of Tofino, and to allow some free time to enjoy the wonderful west coast! It can be a long journey getting here, so it is good to factor that time into your experience. We have hosted semester long field courses with the University of Victoria (January- April). These booking have different policies and are discussed on a case by case basis.
What type of groups does the Ecolodge host?
We host yoga retreats and teacher trainings, school field trips, university field courses, photography courses and camera clubs, aboriginal eco tourism groups, family reunions, weddings, musical retreats, outdoor recreational departments, business and non-profit conferences and more. The lodge is an intimate setting that can be personalised to suit any type of community or personal development.

How can I find courses and presenters for my group?
The Raincoast Education Society operates in the Ecolodge so they are right on site to offer programming for groups. They provide Ecology school programming about the Tofino Mudflats, inter tidal, Rainforest, Oceanography and Plankton, Avian and Invertebrate Diversity.
The West Coast N.E.S.T. helps people find courses and transformative learning experiences with nearly 100 community organizations on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Their website lists existing scheduled courses and they can connect you with presenters on a wide variety of topics.
The Surfrider Foundation: Pacific Rim Chapter has developed the Y.E.S program: designed to educate, inspire, and empower young people to step up as leaders in their community, instigating much needed changes for a sustainable future. If your group is not able to arrange programming, join a monthly local beach clean or see what activities are scheduled during your visit!

Pacific Rim National Park provides daily free interpretative programs from June – September.
Can I bring my own caterer?
Yes! You can bring your own caterer or local caters are available in Tofino. Keep in mind they may require a room if they are coming from out of town. We provide a commercial kitchen fully stocked with plate ware, utensils, and cookware which all our caterers have been very happy to work in. We do not provide a food processor or specialty equipment. Please ask us for more specific details on cookware, serving ware, appliances, etc, if needed.

What yoga equipment is included in the classroom rental?
The Ecolodge has 11 bolsters, 28 blocks and 7 straps that you may use free of charge. Additional equipment such as mats can be rented from Dede Monette at Tofino Yoga for beach or classroom yoga.
What is the maximum number of people you can accommodate for a retreat?
Yoga retreats are limited more by the number of people you want to fit in the classroom and the type of experience you want to give to your clients.
We can accommodate up to 32 people to sleep in the Ecolodge and up to 28 yoga students can practice in the classroom.
Keep in mind that our 12 room lodge can accommodate 30 people at full occupancy in the beds available, that is 2 guests in each Queen bed. Some guests are not open to sharing with people they have just met. Remember that you may have teachers, a caterer or chef, other helpers and yourself!
